In my pre-formative years, I began drawing faces of family members and surprised many with the likenesses achieved. I have always been drawn to faces.

There is a unique energy between subject and artist, and the insight captured in the painting comes as much from my own intention as it does from subconscious intervention.

My paintings reflect the subjects'  external appearance, the imprint life has had on who they are today and my own relationship with them in the studio.

There is a lot of solitude in working as an artist; however, the time in the studio, getting to know while capturing the subject, is ethereal.
